About Us

Tom’s Food Pride is a locally owned and family operated store since 1988. There are two locations conveniently located in Glenwood and Starbuck. Tom and Cindy Buysse moved their family to Pope County in 1988 and have been a proud member of the Pope County community ever since.

Glenwood

In 1988, the store was purchased and the name was changed to Tom’s Save Rite Foods and was located across the street from the current Glenwood location. The present building was built in 1996. The new building features a name change to Tom’s Food Pride, has expanded departments, increased parking lot, and a sit down seating area in our coffee shop restaurant.

Starbuck

In 1993, the store was purchased and the name was changed to Tom’s Food Pride. In 2000, an addition was made to the previous building. The expanded store features an expanded checkout area, expanded departments, and automatic entrances.
